So why two stars...service. m My daughter wanted Olive Garden for her birthday and we had a two-year old gift card to burn up. We had the slowest most messed up service you can image. Half the order was incorrect, even after the manager confirmed it was original written down correctly. Food was okay...and their breadsticks are always good. My wife asked for a to go container for leftovers...the server took her food and sat it on the bussing tray with plates from several tables. Ten minutes later she came back with a container and packed the food from the bussing tray...gross The manage was nice and professional about the problems, discounting the bill...but it doesn't change the true rating here.

As far as Olive Gardens go this one is clean, good service and not the best I've been in but not the worst either. We'd go again.

It was my first time there and I was very disappointed. You would expect so much more from an unscale place but the service was not really up to par.

Best Lunch Ever! Hubby Sis and I went here for lunch yesterday. We were seated right away in a well lit and very clean restaurant. Our waitresses name was Paula K. We ordered our Drinks and the Chicken Gnocchi Soup to start. A nice warm basket of delicious breadsticks were brought to our table. Then the heavenly aroma of the soup, which Paula graciously grated parmesan cheese on our soups with our permission. Creamy mouth watering soup, pieces of tender gnocchi and chicken. My husband ordered the Five Cheese Ziti. Tender pasta so well cooked with so many cheese flavors you couldn't pick just one favorite. Sis ordered the Alfredo pasta with Chicken. The Alfredo sauce was outstanding with pieces of tender chicken. I ordered the Eggplant Parmesan. Lightly breaded Eggplant topped with mozzarella and sauce, also came with aldente spaghetti with a chunky style tomatoe pasta sauce. All you heard from our table and others surrounding us was Mmm..yumm and silverware hitting the plates. Paula oyr waitress was attentive, sweet, friendly and made us feel happy like Family. Even gave us drinks to go. We loved her. Definitely will be returning and loved spending our bucks here!

Like all Chain places, they have their reasons to go, this particular place is because of the lunch time soup/salad/breadstick deal for $6.99. It really can't be beat. I was sat in a section that had 2 wait persons. One was running his butt off with about 4 or 5 tables, one table was particularly needy, needy to the point that I wanted to tell them that he was not their personal waiter, that he had other tables to attend to. I really wanted to say this to them when I over heard them say that "Well, I don't see him running around" That's because you're ahead of his section, and we're all behind you, and behind a half wall, you dolt! However I was civil and kept my tongue. The other waitress was a young woman, handling my table and another, She wasn't moving quite as fast, but she was doing ok. My food was served all together, I don't think she checked on me once, but that's allright, I wasn't needing anything in particular, and I certainly wasn't in the need of refills on anything which seemed to surprise her when I asked for my check after 1/2 a bowl of soup and 1 serving of salad. I come back time to time to visit with my mom.

The evening got off to a bad start. I am not sure if our server was having an off night, but we are not a custom to such lack of service. After waiting what was way to long on a slow night I politely spoken with the manager Melissa who quickly as if it was magic made our visit one of the best we have had here in a long time. Thank you Melissa. We look forward to our next visit. Side note the food was a good as always.

Service was a bit slow, first salad had no croutons. The Sausage Stuffed Giant Rigatoni was tasteless. Standards for this location has dropped. ( What a shame) I am normally eat at this location about every month. Next month might be at the Chilies next door.

Carrie K was my waitress tonight. When ordering appetizers I asked for the trio, as usual. The 3 items that I wanted in the trio were mozzarella, zucchini and fried portabellas. Instantly she picked up on that we are vegetarian, and informed me that the portabellas have clams. I had no idea, and a few times previously, I had odered them, and went home feeling sick. This is paramount as my son and I are vegetarian, and I have alleries to some seafood. The Spring menu does not state this. I normally wouldn't think to rate a chain, but this time was different. She was sufficiently hospitable without feeling too pushy or gisiting too often. I consider this as rating Carrie as opposed to rating a chain. Thanks Carrie.

Nicest staff and management! Food is always delicious and the offer the nicest meals for our veterans and take it seriously. Management was our server! They were so busy that day that management served us with a smile! That's almost unheard of. Every other time, the wait staff rocked and were so attentive. The drinks are good and the kitchen deserves a kudos! Thank you for wonderful time every time!

It's Olive Garden. Fine for an Olive Garden. Probably ok for the area. But let's be honest - Olive Garden is not fantastic. I bumped it up from my two star review because my mom said she thought her meal deserved four stars. I think she's far too nice, but whatever. Service is fine.

Have been to this location twice and both times sat in the bar area, waiters were very friendly and were very attentive. I would def recommend this location and preferably the bar area, they always take care of you and it's nice and quite. I will say I will not go back.. everything was good, just ONE BIG problem.. our waiter brings our to go bag to put our food into and he brings on the bag a baby German roach! It was a baby, there must be more. Also, where he got the bag from was only ten feet from where I was eating, ew! I think he saw it and acted as though he didn't, we didn't complain until we got home and called. We received a gift card in the mail for less than we paid but my mom called as well and they sent her one too, she obv gave it to me.. we made out at about the price of dinner and gas, so even.

I want to express my compete dissatisfaction with my family's dining experience at Olive Garden in Port Richey Florida. The restaurant number is 1149. In case any mgr reads this my check number was 55030 on 5/16/2015. We have been to this location a number of times and received excellent service and delicious food. However this time we sat at table 207 and was served by "Shannon D". As my wife, daughter and I sat waiting to be greeted by Shannon I watched other servers go to their tables and off a sample of the house wine. We have been asked this as well on our previous visits. Shannon comes over to our table with wine bottle in hand. Here I'm thinking she's going to offer the sample, nope she tucks that bottle right under her arm and does not say a word about it. We ordered our drinks and I spoke to my wife while waiting for her to return about what just happened. I told my wife I was going to ask for it when she got back. Shannon returned with our drinks and I asked if they were still offering the free sample and she said "yes". That's funny cause she didn't offer us any. She said next "well what would you like" and I replied with "whatever one you hand in your hand before". It was nice when she told me it was white when it was actually a red. It gets better! After that she said "ok it will be a little bit". Now think of when your server normally comes back with your drinks 99% of the time they ask you if your ready to order. Not this one. She came back after about 5 mins, and took our order. Not like other servers she didn't ask if we wanted an app just took the order and went on her way. About half way through our entrees she sat the check down on our table. Didn't ask is about dessert at all. It was like she wanted us gone. After we paid she returned to give my card back and my wife asked if they still offered desserts and Shannon replied with "oh yes, did you want something". After my wife replied with "not now" she new that something was wrong. We packed our take home boxes and went to the front and asked the hostess if we could talk to a mgr. She said yes and called for a mgr to come to the front. After about 5 mins of waiting I asked again if she was going to be there soon and I was told she's on her way. We waited a few more mins and then I asked the name of the mgr who was working tonight and I was told it was " Melissa". It's really said that this happened. It seems that we were looked down on the entire meal. Maybe it's because my wife and I are heavily tattooed, or maybe it's because I had a hat on or maybe it's because we are a blended family. I really don't know but what I do know is that I have never felt so degraded when going out to dinner. If your going to go you may first ask if Melissa is working because she does not have time to talk to you and also make sure you don't sit with Shannon as your server cause she will decide if your good enough for wine, apps or dessert.

Five Stars for our waitress Paula who made for one of the most fun and tasty lunches ever. I usually wouldn't ever leave a review for such a large chain but honestly the staff at this particular Olive Garden was exceptional. The staff supervisor Crystal came over and was so very nice as well. Impressed with the new lunch menu - Soup/Salad/Breadsticks $6.99 and a little extra side for $2.99. So for 9.99 you get a ton of food on the table, all of it was very good and our waitress Paula made sure that we had a whole extra round of Soup/Salad/Bread to bring home. Kudos Olive Garden on a job well done!

Worst service ever. Took 2.5 hours to get entree. Had to beg waitress for salads, water, bread, and drinks. Manager is even running around sweaty and serving people due to low staffing. Wowzers, worst Olive Garden experience ever. do yourself a favor and pay extra for Carrabbas, which is right down the street. We came in around 5:30pm. I guess you need to eat at 4pm to be waited on cause they are clueless.

I recently visited this location because I had an e-gift certificate. I was seated very quickly and my server was bubbly and fast. I ordered my favorite, the soup, salad and breadstick lunch. The chicken gnocchi soup was great, as was the pasta e fagioli. The breadsticks were good, as usual, and so was the salad. The place was clean and there weren't any issues with the gift card. I will be back.

No stars, stay away, just awful, the place smells like garbage and sour milk, service was so so, food didn't taste at all like it should, how do you screw up a corporate menu that details all of the prep to the cooks? Silverware , plates and bowls were dirty. Bread sticks were doughy! If you've been to an Olive Garden and know what it should taste like you'll be completely disappointed.

I'm not a fan of Olive Garden or any Darden restaurant for that matter. Unfortunately there aren't many choices in this stretch of Port Richey and with Carrabba's closed for lunch we settled on Olive Garden. Olive Garden is nothing if not consistent. The interior of the restaurant reminded me of an old cafeteria with plush rolling chairs and dusty, dated decor. Service was s-l-o-w. Although our server was nice she wasn't especially personable, maybe because she had too many tables to handle. The food was just ok; I chose the pork scallopini (a featured item) that came with a asiago cheese stuffed tortelloni and tossed in a portobello musroom white wine sauce. Although it had potential you could tell it was mass produced and lacked any real creativity or pizzazz. And I really don't understand why people love the house salad and breadsticks. Maybe because it is bottomless? I asked for my salad with dresisng on the side which was prompty ignored. Just blah. But at least you know what to expect from Darden.

My wife took me here for my birthday, and I must say I wasn't the biggest fan of Olive Garden, have only been there a couple times but not this one. Atmosphere was great, food even better. Their seafood alfredo was excellent and cooked perfectly. I would give it 4 stars, but I wasn't exactly thrilled with the quality of my drinks (bartender).

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
